Academy Award Winner Tom Hanks and Ron Howard make an awesome movie about Apollo 13. This movie shows the grit and determination mankind had to get to the moon.

After watching this movie, you understand what an accomplishment it is to put man in space. This movie is brilliantly filmed and showed have cleaned up at the Oscars. This is a must see film.

Stephen R. Donaldson has written one of my favorite series, Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Unbeliever. The Fantasy Genre this has to be one of the best ever written.

Thomas Covenant is a man shunned by his community because he is a Leper, he "falls" into another realm were he has the power to conquer evil and be the hero. The only problem is he doesn´t believe in himself and his powers and through out the series he struggles to find himself and do something right.

It is a complex story with many twists and turns. It is not a a very uplifting story at times. And you wonder if Thomas will every do anything right. But I do highly recommend itif you enjoy excellent Fantasy writing, Stephen is a master story teller. Once you start this series, you won´t stop.

Stephen has also written another series. One that I found over complex and seemed to lack any real story. It´s his first try into the Space genre and in my opinion he fails.
