This is a little known movie that has an interesting story.

Based in the post-nuclear war world where the only way you can rise from the lower class to the higher class is to place a dog's skull on a stick. 

This movie is not for everyone, but if you like unusual stories, this one could be for you.

Vonda McIntyre has written many books, but DreamSnake stands out as one of the  best books I have ever read. A compelling story of a young woman who uses 2 snakes to heal people. Along the way she loses her  DreamSnake which allows her to heal by "drugging" her patient. Unfortunately, DreamSnakes are rather rare and she must find another one in order to continue in her chosen Profession.
